Barnemusikalen Harald Dovrefostre
(The musical about Harald - son of the jotun king)
Librettist Randi Wedvich created a rich and dramatic children’s musical based on the mythological story in Flateyjarbók about Norway’s first king Harald Fairhair and his perillous journey to the hall of the Mountain King where he was trained and prepared to assume the throne of Norway. Wedvich worked with composer John G. Akerø to create a thrilling and captivating performance, directed by the acknowledged Norwegian director Arnulf Haga. The costume and stage designs were created by Anders Kvåle Rue. The Saga Heritage Foundation sponsored the production. All photos by Ferdinand Bart Alst.
